New Mexico is well represented nationally in the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Currently, five Board members sit on national committees. Three members, Roger Basarich, Roger Lujan, and Bob Calvani serve on committees involved with the development of the national Architectural Registration Examination. Mr. Lujan is also an Alternate for the NAAB Accreditation Team.

Jim Oschwald serves on the Broadly Experienced Architect/Broadly Experienced Foreign Architect committee, which processes applications for that type of certification. Stephen Dent is currently serving on the Intern Development Task Force. He is also the IDP Liaison to the national council.

Having five out of seven Board members on national committees is unusual for a state the size of New Mexico. It is indicative of the willingness to volunteer and the contribution the NMBEA Board members make on behalf of our state.
