The N.M. Board of Examiners for Architects responded to requests from interns for a specific designation in the recent revisions to the New Mexico Architectural Act and Rules. Interns may now refer to themselves as an intern architect. This term may be applied to someone who "is a person who is actively pursuing completion of the requirements of diversified training in accordance with the rules of the Board". Interns need to be mindful that the use of this title is specific - no other combination of the words "intern" and "architect" are allowed.
